Although the consequences of the coronavirus crisis are gradually easing, some sectors remain affected. For this reason, Bridging Aid III Plus and Restart Aid Plus can now also be applied for covering the period from October to December 2021.

Bridging Aid III Plus

Compared to Bridging Aid III Plus for the third quarter of 2021, there are virtually no changes in substance. Only the restart premium for reopening businesses has, according to the German federal government, served its purpose and is therefore being discontinued. Companies, business associations, self-employed individuals, etc. with annual revenue below 750 million euros in 2020 and a revenue decline of 30% compared to the reference months in 2019 remain eligible to apply. Additionally eligible in the fourth quarter of 2021 are companies affected by the flood disaster in July of this year.

Application for Bridging Aid III Plus

Companies that have already applied for Bridging Aid III Plus during the period from July to September 2021 can apply for additional grants for the fourth quarter of 2021 by means of an amendment application for the sake of simplicity.

Companies that have not yet submitted an application for Bridging Aid III Plus can now file an initial application and receive government grants for the full funding period (July to December 2021).

Restart Aid Plus

Restart Aid Plus for solo self-employed individuals, cooperatives, etc. has likewise been extended for the fourth quarter of 2021. The maximum reimbursement claim of €4,500 is retained and continues to amount to 50% of revenue compared to the reference period. The application procedure is identical to that for Bridging Aid III Plus. It should also be noted that Restart Aid Plus cannot be applied for in addition to Bridging Aid III Plus.
