From shoebox to dashboard: Steffen & Partner is Top Tax Advisor 2026

FOCUS MONEY has tested tax firms across Germany for the 21st time — and named Steffen & Partner a Top Tax Advisor in the segment of large firms for the 17th consecutive time (issue 24/2026). This year's test was all about AI: the tax advisor of 2026, according to the editors, is no longer a data administrator but a data interpreter. Read more under Top-Steuerberater.

Excellent Employer 2026: award by the Steuerberaterverband Westfalen-Lippe

The Steuerberaterverband Westfalen-Lippe has named Steffen & Partner an "Excellent Employer 2026" — for the fourth time, following 2022, 2024 and 2025. The seal recognises structured staff development, continuing education and a demonstrably good working environment. What this means for applicants is shown on our careers page.

Steffen & Partner again named Top Tax Advisor in the segment of large firms in 2017

In 2017, Steffen & Partner was once again named Top Tax Advisor by Focus Money in the segment of large firms. In the current issue 18/2017, the Steffen & Partner group received the TOP Tax Advisor award for the 8th consecutive time.

The premise of the editorial introduction is simple: the professions of Steuerberater (German Certified Tax Advisor) and bookkeeper will become increasingly automated. On the one hand, accounting figures can increasingly be digitised and processed automatically. On the other hand, legislation can increasingly be integrated into these automated systems, and artificial intelligence can highlight meaningful connections, such as depreciation options or inconsistent data series.

Technology can therefore level out the professional profile and the quality of the tax advisory profession. This makes outstanding advisory services all the more important. We Steuerberater can and must make the difference here — this is the added value we want to offer our clients.

We believe we are on the right path into the future. That is one more reason why we are pleased about the Focus Money award. In 2015, Steffen & Partner was again named Top Tax Advisor by Focus Money (Issue 18/2015 of 22 April 2015) — in the segment of large firms in Germany. In 2015, no other tax advisor in the western Münsterland region was named Top Tax Advisor.

As you know, what really counts is that you are satisfied with our work. Nevertheless, this award can give you an indication of our professional expertise — the Focus Money assessment is genuinely comprehensive and demanding.
