In 2017, Focus Money once again named Steffen & Partner a top tax advisor in the large firms segment. In the current issue 18/2017, the Steffen & Partner group received the TOP tax advisor distinction for the 8th consecutive time.
Particularly noteworthy is the heading under which the magazine presents the top tax advisor awards: "Advisors instead of robots." The premise of the editorial introduction is straightforward: the professions of tax advisor and bookkeeper will be increasingly automated. On the one hand, accounting figures can be digitised and processed automatically with ever greater ease. On the other hand, legislation can increasingly be integrated into these automated systems, and artificial intelligence can identify meaningful connections such as depreciation options or inconsistent data sets. Technology can therefore level out the professional profile and the quality of the tax advisory profession. This makes outstanding advisory work all the more important.
