Recipients of the emergency aid in North Rhine-Westphalia were most recently given a response deadline of 30 November 2020 by email. Due to the current situation, the resumption of responses regarding the NRW emergency aid 2020 will be delayed beyond November 2020. The state takes the view that this is predominantly in the interest of the recipients. The settlement is therefore scheduled for spring 2021, with time until autumn 2021 for any repayment. However, many emergency aid recipients have also expressed the wish to settle soon, so that the repayment can still be recorded and claimed for tax purposes within this year.
At the end of November, all emergency aid recipients are to receive an email from the address noreply@soforthilfe-corona.nrw.de, giving them the opportunity to settle within the current year and, where applicable, to repay funds received in excess. Anyone opting for this will gain access with one click to the so-called calculation aid as well as the response form. All others do not need to take any further action for the time being.
