As every year, our office will remain closed on the Monday of the fair, when Bocholt celebrates its annual Autumn Fair, the local equivalent of a "small Oktoberfest".
From Friday onwards, Bocholt's town centre is transformed into the largest folk festival in the Münsterland region. The showmen have been busy for weeks setting up their rides and amusement stalls. This year, too, a wide range of attractions will be on offer, from children's carousels to state-of-the-art rides — around 300 in total, spread over an area of 38,000 square metres, with an expected 500,000 visitors.
